It’s been all on here for our main export season which is right now. This is normally the time when our staff are busting out huge days, eyeballs hanging out from trying to meet deadlines and things are basically out of control. Well it all seems a bit different this time around….
In fact the boats have been going out very easy this season and I’m not complaining at all. If I didn’t know better I’d have to say we were getting on top of things. Truth is our team here are doing a great job and I guess when there getting plenty of sleep and getting out boating in the weekends, there actually on the job when there on the job. If every boat molded is a good one then we meet our targets so much easier and that’s what we’re doing. Also the new outfitting is a dream to put together so that makes a big difference as well. So we’re getting more boats out the door than we’ve ever been able to and the quality of the finished product just superb. .
We’ve kept quiet about the first few container shipments arriving as the boats in them already had names on them even before they left NZ which is all good so long as your not trying to build stock! Hopefully we do manage to keep most of our customers from waiting to long during the season. As we’re not motivated to achive total world domination in our game but to simply produce awesome kayaks for those that want them, we’re not going to start working all night. I’m kind of over that and enjoying doing it just the way we are right now….
