Ok so for those of you who don’t know, Mini Bus is the wave that's been chosen to hold the next World Championships in May 07’. It’s also one of the most insane big waves known to the paddling world at the moment.

The tow-rope, wave, and jetski set up
This is the wave that really put big wave river surfing on the map. It stands roughly 10ft high and has a sweet lefty shoulder, but what really attracts most people to Mini Bus is its dynamics. The ability to be able to catch ridiculous amounts of air one ride and then have your ass handed to you on the next keeps even the worlds best paddlers humble on this wave.

Yappa - One big Pistol Flip!
I think for most of us surfing Mini Bus is so exciting simply because of its potential. New moves and techniques feel so close when you can consistently go so big on a wave like this.
Here are a few photos from the 3 days that Mini Bus was actually in this year.

For most of us the pilgrimage to Mini Bus is the first chance we all get to catch up again after the off-season. YGP was out in force as usual with 2 jet skis, a tone of camera equipment, and paddlers from all over the States and Canada coming together. Our mates the BC'Boys even made the long trek across Canada just to be there. There’s nothing like paddling with friends, on a sunny day, at Mini Bus.
