Well, if he wasn’t such a big boy, ‘Nils Heine’ would have cried for sure when it came time for him to leave, and head back towards his home in Northern Germany. Turned up here around 6 months ago, keen to engage in our ambassador programme, and trade up with some Bliss-stick action, and we only just got him to leave now!!!!!.
He kind of welded himself here, but we really didn't mind, he’s a good lad and we appreciated all his help during his tour of duty, ending up working mainly on the mission of helping us get that new Mystic Creeker, up and running.

'Nils', paddling the Mystic through the Aritiatia rapids.
So that job done, I guess he can bugger off now to another summer. He did himself proud here, no doubt about that. His German cabinet making skills were all good and although he doesn’t go on about it, turned out he can paddle a kayak pretty well too. I bet you we see him back here next season. ‘Nils’ (pronounced Neil’s) is now an official team Bliss-Stick paddler, he told us that as well, just before he headed out the door!!!! You have to love that German style……
