Hey guys,
Well it’s about time for another update I recon. Way to much has happened since my MiniBus Update but it seems I keep getting stuck out in the middle of nowhere where I cant tell anyone about it. So stay tuned for a massive report on the Northern Quebec Trip that I just finished up with YGP. Some crazy stuff went down on that trip...
But for the moment though I've found my way half way across the world to France and am now gearing up for the 2006 Lyon River Festival. ITS GONNA BE HUGE!!! I've never seen a set up like this before. There are paddlers coming in from all around the world and it’s a pretty bizarre feeling sitting in an eddy hearing 5 different languages being fired around. A grass lot as big as 2 football fields is now being packed with band stages, half pipes, and marquees as far as the eye can see.
The wave is pumping and the world famous giant Kayak Session ramp was starting to be built just yesterday afternoon. Standing at least 2-3 stories high above the water this thing is built to LAUNCH. The festival starts today (Friday 9th June) with a party and the competitors briefing.
Tomorrow kicks off with the Big Air comp being the ramp event, and then the preliminary heats for the wave event. Along with all of this a skate and surf demonstration along side bands and adventure racers will be going on. So there’s plenty to keep an eye on.
My mate Patrick Camblin and I have been asked to MC the event through web post for Kayak Session Magazine, the organizers of the event. Starting 2 days ago we've been posting up daily updates on the event as its coming to be and will continue to post up right through the event.
So check out the website and stay tuned for all the updates,

To all the organizers of the event, well done already and cant wait for the weekend to start!
Later, - Anthony
